Ed Rome is acclaimed writer, recording artist and producer.
He has written and recorded many albums in many genres as well as material for other artists and done countless guest spots. His latest album Snapshot and its reworked version Snapshot: Dubs & Subs have received much critical acclaim and BBC Radio Play alike from Steve Lamacq (BBC 6 Music), Craig Charles (BBC 6 Music), David Rodigan (Radio 1Xtra), Don Letts (BBC 6 Music), Robert Elms (BBC London), Alex Lester (BBC Radio 2), Tom Robinson (BBC Introducing) and Gideon Coe (BBC 6 Music). His previous Reggae album A Life in Minutes received much praise, most notable being Steve Lamacq naming it the best reggae album of the year on his BBC Radio 2 show.
As an international touring artist Ed’s encapsulating, honest energetic live show has allowed him to tour Australia, Japan, Dubai, continental Europe every corner of the British isles. Festival highlights include Glastonbury (05, 07+09), Byron Bay Blues and Roots Festival (Aus.), Summer Sonic (Jap.)
As well as being UK tour support for the ’Easy Star All Stars’ (Radiodread/Dub side of the moon) countless live sessions around the world for artists such as ’The Beat’, ’Lee Scratch Perry’ and members of ’The Specials’ has secured his strong reputation on the live circuit.

Ed fronted and wrote for the legendary Ska band “The BiG” for 9 years. They were an unstoppable live act who toured Europe full time for 6 years. They recorded 4 critically acclaimed albums and drank the EU beer mountain on the way.
